Good Ideas Ltd provided consultancy support to care providers in Dumfries & Galloway for over 5 years. One part of this work involved supporting care providers to embed new developments, such as outcomes focussed conversations or ‘Good Conversations’ to support their work in care homes and through care at home services.
We realised the importance of ‘Good Conversations’ not only to support the quality of care but also to support forthcoming changes to care standards in Scotland. So we developed a bespoke training programme structured to engage
- managers,
- senior social care workers as well as
- frontline social care workers.
This training programme supported all team members to harness Good Conversations in their role and hence provide a coherent approach at all levels of the care provider organisation.
"Good Ideas Ltd have an extensive background and experience in training, as well as a good, sound knowledge and understanding of Health and Social Care Integration. I would recommend any agency or organisation to work with Good Ideas Ltd. due to their professionalism, knowledge, experience and commitment to their clients."
Elaine McCourtney, Director, Stranraer Skills Station
The programme was very well received by participants – stakeholders from other sectors including social services managers and staff joined in the sessions. The training programme is still on offer today through Scottish Care’s Independent Sector Lead, Elaine McCourtney.
