We worked with a charity in the north of England over many years to support their strategic business planning. The organisation must remain anonymous given the nature of our work with them. This organisation runs special schools and provides residential accommodation for children and adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. They are a highly respected and successful organisation in their field.
Over several years, we worked with the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees to facilitate their Away Days each year. This involved reviewing progress over the last financial year, working together on a STEEPLE analysis and reviewing their strategic priorities. We were tasked with drafting the resulting plans and associated monitoring frameworks for the SMT and Board to take forward.
New senior staff engaged in the process each year as the organisation grew in size and scope. These sessions provided useful professional development for new managers and helped to develop a new model for the business which has now enabled them to establish new bases elsewhere in the country to support their target group and to expend their reach.
